Kim McMenamin – Lead Orthodontic Assistant

After working as a registered nurse for 15 years, I decided to take a "temporary" break from the medical field to recharge my enthusiasm for nursing. I took a temporary job in a dentist office and started training with Dr. Leiss in orthodontics. I haven't looked back at my nursing career since. I have found a profession that I truly enjoy and still feel like I make a big difference in people's lives, namely children and young adults. It is so delightful to see on a daily basis the progress and improvements made in our clients' smiles. Dr. Leiss is not only a great person to work with; he is a gifted orthodontist. I have also been a patient of Dr. Leiss, one of his first Invisalign® cases. I couldn't be more pleased with the results.

On a personal note, I have been happily married for 18 years and although we have no children, I have 2 cats that are my "babies." My husband and I are fishing fanatics who enjoy weekends in Cape May, fishing on the Delaware Bay. I also enjoy gardening and any type of arts and crafts. The passion for arts and crafts makes me very detail oriented, which is something I can appreciate in Dr. Leiss. He has a true eye for detail, which shows in the wonderful smiles he creates.

Laurie DiFrancesco – Orthodontic Assistant

Have you ever heard of being in the "right place at the right time"? I surely was. My daughter and I had a consultation with Dr. Leiss to evaluate her orthodontic care. Having been a clinical orthodontic assistant for over 10 years in the past, I knew that my daughter would soon be a patient of Dr. Leiss'. After mentioning my past experience in the field of orthodontics, the staff at the office expressed their interest in my becoming a member of their team. The rest, as they say, is history!

After being a stay-at-home-mom for 16 years raising my three children, I knew that going back to work would be a challenging experience. Thankfully, I had the support of my husband of 24 years and of my children, to return to doing what I love. Both my husband and I are one of seven children; so naturally family is a large part of our lives. We enjoy our summers vacationing in Sea Isle City, NJ and spending time with our children; as well as working together in our yard.

In the time that I have been here in the office, I have seen what a wonderful orthodontist Dr. Leiss is. His professionalism, knowledge and experience are evident whenever he and I work together with a patient. I truly look forward to working with him in the future as well as meeting his many patients. Please introduce yourself to me and know that you, too, are in the "right place at the right time" when you are in Dr. Leiss' care.

Debbie Jackson – Treatment Coordinator

Mid-life career change… That about sums it up! I have spent most of my adult life teaching, working at the local YMCA, and being involved with my children’s school and sports activities. My degrees are in Physical Education and Sports Administration, which launched me into teaching and coaching. My first love is swimming, and I have spent countless hours “wet” - as a participant, a teacher, a coach, and a parent. My work in the Aquatic department and the Member Services department of the YMCA, prepared me for the transition into working with the staff in Dr. Leiss’ orthodontic office. My only orthodontic experience is as a parent of two beautiful smiles! I am very excited about joining Dr. Leiss and his “team”, and look forward to meeting all of you.

I have been married for 25 years and have twins (boy / girl) currently attending college. We are a family of sports enthusiasts, and have spent many hours on the road traveling to and from various practices and games. Both of our children swim and play water polo for their respective schools, and we enjoy being proud parents in the stands. Our third “child” is a two-year-old English bulldog who is in desperate need of some serious orthodontic treatment!

Nancy Carter – Appointment Coordinator

It is my pleasure to be on the staff of Dr. Leiss' orthodontic office. Unlike others in the office, my only previous experience with orhtodontics was as a patient's mom! I have experience working as a receptionist at a retirement home and a physicians office.

Dr. Leiss and I met many years ago at church. Our families developed a special friendship. Several years later, Dr. Leiss became our family orthodontist. Eventually he treated all four of my children. I now look at three completed, beautiful smiles and one yet under construction!

My husband and I met when I was 16 years old; we have been married for 23 years. We have two girls and two boys. Our girls are in college; one would like to be a high school counselor, the other a high school math teacher. The boys are in middle school; they are active in both school and neighborhood sports. My husband coaches the soccer team for which my youngest son plays.

Most of my spare time is spent doing mom things like running to games and practices. When I get time to myself I like to quilt and bake. I love spending time with my family playing cards and board games – Scrabble is my favorite!
